This implies that different beliefs in God or rather in gods is accepted by the community and is normally at variance with the idea that there exist only one religion that is true. A good example of religious pluralism is reflected in the country of the United States whereby many faiths have been accepted and respected by the citizens (Porterfield, 2013). Religious pluralism became into existence in the seventeenth century and it has gradually become known and accepted widely today. Surprisingly, other religions today such as Christianity have embraced the religious pluralism and some believe that there are other different ways to heaven (Beall, 2005). Pluralism has become essential in promoting freedom. This is basically achieved when the different religions compete with each other in doing righteous deeds which promotes an incorruptible development in a society.
