Police Brutality Name Date Police Brutality Introduction The United States has been considered the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave ” for as long as its existence; but it has had its share of social injustices which plague the country. But what is Police Brutality? Police Brutality is the excessive use of force on the citizens. Police brutality is something that has ridiculed the United States for countless years. Some instances of Police brutality include the Civil Rights Movement the OJ Simpson case and the Rodney King case. African American & Hispanics are more prone to police brutality compared to any of other race. These minority communities are more likely to become victims of unfair police treatment. Research evidence shows that race plays a significant role in police brutality. The primary reason for this is because the police are humans just as other people and political movement is a tool that can be adopted to voice these concerns. References Cop Crisis. (2017).
