Though the request creates an ethical paradox I would let him make the arrangements to see his mistress (Giles, & Muir‐Cochrane, 2018). The client’s privacy is eminent and a key factor to any patient. Also putting into considerations that he has minimal time left for himself it would be a decent way to let the patient say decent goodbye to his close friends. However before reaching to the conclusion I would seek consultation with other nurses on duty and maybe the nurse manager. To seek their view on the issue as well. Other than ethics, other factors that influence our decisions could be religious affiliations, cultural beliefs and personal beliefs (Judkins-Cohn. , et al, 2014). In this scenario all aspects mentioned highly contributed to the decision that I made.

First, culturally it is decent to grant an ailing man his wishes while time lasts to fulfill them. Also, it helps mans' soul to rest in peace if he has completed his tasks on earth. The second strategy to self care can be proper nutrition. It is very key for growth since what we feed on provides energy that supports the body.
