Focus should then be on delaying pregnancy rather than discouraging it. Members of the community must be involved, and be educated on the significance of ensuring that girls can receive an education that can assure them of becoming valuable members of the society. The use of contraceptives is often against cultural norms, and it is often important to focus more on abstinence. In perspective, there is evidence that community involvement would be in consonance with counselling sessions. Hence, the use of school based counselling sessions that involves the community can encourage the teens to avoid peer pressure and this can greatly assist in preventing early pregnancies (Wessells, 2015). Besides, using female administrators to talk to girls would motivate them to believe that they can overcome challenges and excel.

Therefore, the essence of female role models in curtailing teen pregnancies can serve a significant purpose (Romero, Middleton, Mueller, Avellino, & Hallum-Montes, 2015). The school district can also establish a parent-teacher association so as to assist in overcoming dogmas and cultural bias that make girls to become vulnerable to early pregnancies (Ahorlu, Pfeiffer, & Obrist, 2015). Hence, education would be considered as an avenue to ensure that the girls can overcome poverty, and thus enable them to afford a quality life for their families in the future. Based on the above, an association between the community group and the school district can achieve a form of legitimacy that can make the girls to change their attitude while at the same time ensuring that local people can esteem education as also empowering the female gender to become valuable members of the society.
