While it fundamentally remains a question of the personal interpretation, it is interesting to observe that both scholars and jurists have a lot of reservations about its effectiveness. The adoption of religious freedom act in Indiana has posed questions about business, social interactions, and sanctity of religious rituals. Key to note is the need to identify how the various sections of the act seek to protect human rights without conflicting with the established federal laws. As such, the present paper is an analysis of the religious freedom act in the lens of same-sex marriages and its implications for the social welfare of citizens. Moreover, the paper targets to inspire, inform and educate the academic community about the possible circumstances that came as a result of the adoption of the Religious Freedom Act in Indiana.

Moreover, it will identify important sections of the Act that are essential for the wellbeing of citizens. Practically, the synthesis of the act should highlight a key understanding about its impacts on relationships between various sections of the society and how well it can be amended to suit the interests of all citizens regardless of their social and economic leanings.
