Essay on Socialism

These conditions exist because of the political ideology that runs the country, that is capitalism. On the contrary, there is a political ideology that advocates for the collective ownership and control of means of production, distribution and exchange, which can be operated socially for the equitable good for all. This is known as socialism and it is my political ideology or philosophy. Why Socialism I hold the socialism ideology because it views the humans as social beings tied together by their common humanity (Williams). The idea of socialism has its origins from working man association whose mission is to ensure equality exists among all people and employees in the society. Even then, my question would, how can one be the best they can be in an unequal society? For this reason, I believe that true liberty comes from having an equal opportunity as everyone else to be the best you can be without any limiting factors such as poverty or lack of education.

The goal of socialism is to eradicate poverty, ignorance and disease. When these are eliminated, and everyone is given an equal chance of participation in the society, then I believe that they can be the best that they want to be. Therefore, socialism ideology supports and mostly precede liberty. Views on Equality I believe that the society should have equal distribution of wealth and income. Conclusion I believe that the society today has suffered much because of the failure to implement the socialism ideology. The income disparity gap continues to go up, and life is become more expensive and unfordable for the poor because of the capitalistic nature of business that values profit over the welfare of the society. It is therefore my take that any society that would prosper with all its people and not just a few rich ones need to embrace the socialism ideology.
