Ideally, boys turning specifically into men are brought up to be mighty warriors and leader to honor their love families. Further, girls into women were also taught some of those household needs based on skills and mending some stuff like basket weaving as well as cooking to take care of those children being born. Japanese culture and the Native American all have several but similar rituals together with the rites of passage, though I would be examining those differences and similarities of the existing ceremonies of readings based on the Japanese culture and the Native American culture.
