# What is going on with the “numbers” in the game? (Example)

Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Probability in Rolling Dice and Drawing Cards Background of Multiplication Methods The Egyptian multiplication method has its origins in the binary system of multiplication in which the number is added to itself or multiplying it by 2 (West & Bellevue). The Russian peasant method which had its origins is Russia determines the involved powers of two automatically by either halving or doubling the numbers in division and multiplication respectively. The lattice method on its end uses a lattice that is sized to fit the numbers being multiplied (West & Bellevue). This paper will apply the Egyptian method and the Russian peasant method to determine the probabilities for both the dice rolls and the card draws. Expected in rolling dice the pool of probable outcomes remains the same from pick to pick while the pool of probable outcomes in drawing cards without replacement keeps reducing with each draw. As a consequence of this the player statistics for rolling dice will keep going up and down between 2 and 12. On the other hand the player statistics will keep going down as more cards are drawn from the deck since they are drawn without replacement. Works Cited Smith David K. ## Order Description:

Project Assignment: What is going on with the “numbers” in the game? Research some of the allternate Multiplication Methods: Egyptian Method, Russian Peasant Method, Lattice Method This week’s task is to look into what are the “boundaries” of these numbers. Specifically: If you are rolling dice in the game, what kind of outcomes can you get, or even expect to get? If you have cards in the game instead, what sort of expectations do you have for what you might get on a given card draw? Are there any impossibilities for the dice rolls and card draws? Anything that’s a guarantee? Are there player statistics that can go up and down throughout the gameplay? If you do outside research on this task, please make sure that you only include content that you understand and can put into your own words.
