The medium is of importance in business communication. One has to consider using either an email, telephone messages or a report depending on the type of message. The environment includes preconceived ideas that the receiver may have. Action I am going to take any communication in my studies and my career as a problem-solving activity. Every time I engage in communication, I will have to familiarise myself with the situation that is leading me to communicate. Also, I have to analyze the suitable communication strategies (Weldy 65). Going through the essentials of effective communication has provided me with insights on how to tailor my message to a particular receiver. Poor communication may hamper progression in one’s career by leading to dismissal, low credibility and lack of confidence.
