In her essay, she reveals how personal disputes and lack of confidence in women make their career life to be difficult. The paper will discuss what Virginia Woolf refers to as phantoms and barriers to women professionalism; on top of that, it will also focus on the existing problems facing the women and a case study in the journalism profession. According to Virginia, women face two main problems in their career life. First, women face disputes within themselves, which makes them not to believe in themselves. In her work, Wolf suggested, “the triumph of education bequeaths an activity performed solidly” (Woolf 1931). In the journalism field, the women pass through many challenges that Virginia analyzed. First, women always feel they need to change their facial look to impress their viewers.
