This implies that motivation in businesses is misguided. Businesses tend to rely on incentives such as bonuses, perks and free stuffs to motivate employees and customers. However, which science disagrees with this perspective. I believe that businesses need to have another way of increasing motivation other than incentives. It is advisable that businesses should come up with a layout that strengthens its various departments. This would enable the staff feel appreciated and listened to. Besides, businesses should also empower their employees to make some decisions which would give them autonomy over their work (Dozier, et al, 55).   This ignites the feeling that they can realize their core values of work and achieve mastery in a large sense of purpose which leads to self-drive.
