The bomb was a killer, and the perpetrators knew that launching an atomic bomb would bring destruction. Those who argue in such manner try to show that it was actually a bad idea to drop the bomb. Others argue that the bomb was necessary for bringing the political change as well as affecting the war in a positive manner, as it contributed to the end of the war. However, when all these are considered, it was a good decision to drop the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, for the sake the war and peace in nations, the sake of tomorrow and also the future of handling lethal weapons. The facts to prove these are as discussed below. The lethality of the bomb made countries fear so much, that they got at peace in agreeable ways.

The atomic bomb has a long-term effect as countries have the knowledge of the destruction that can be brought by an atomic bomb, which is an aspect that has helped a lot in securing a future of peace for the whole world. The dropping of the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved a lot of lives in that war. If they were not dropped, more deaths would have been claimed by the war, since there were Japanese invasions. The death toll from the warring parties would have exceeded that caused by the atomic bombs since the war would still continue. Firstly, this led to countries trying to have powerful weapons of their own, just like the USA had. The bombs also led to a mass destruction of lives and claimed the wellbeing of the people of Japan due to radiation.
