Dynamic Leadership essay

Over the past leadership programs I have undergone, I have been exposed to various technicalities that have aided to sharpen my leadership skills and in turn yield an impeccable leadership character. I believe that continued manipulation of these skills over a period of time will eventually achieve the almost perfect leadership skills. A personal and professional development plan provides for a way in which an individual outlines the achievement goals, expectations and progress of the plan. The plan is often designed to carter for a review over a specified timeline that the individual tends to approach the strategy outlined in the plan. Personal development defines the skills aimed to be attained and goals to be accomplished as an effect of day to day life and it entails the improvement of both the professional and unprofessional abilities such as talents both on official and formal experiences.

Back in high school, I was part of a welfare group that would occasionally sell goodies to fellow students to raise finances for the club’s activities. This would include the persuasion of prospective buyers. Among the rest of the members, I was the lead seller with almost tenfold the second highest seller. With advancements in the club’s activities, more members were enrolled and this provided for a more advanced organization with heads of sub sectors being appointed. I stood for the chairperson but since I was a junior student, the docket was awarded to a senior colleague with assurance of the same in the preceding year, which thereafter was fulfilled. In order to develop decision making skills, a leader needs to come up with goal oriented marketing strategies that may differ from past experiences that did not yield proper results.

In case we are dealing with a new product, proper market research and analysis need to be undertaken to validate the most appropriate decision. For effective leadership skills, one need to be acquitted with profound communication skills which play a vital role in the marketing function within the organization and with an individual- the customer. There is need to communicate the marketing plans for implementation by the responsible staff. Where communication is efficient, a buildup of a good relationship marketing and in turn the development of a successful brand online. To develop analytical skills, a team leader together with some other members, need to take use information based on social trends from online sources, free of speculations and then brainstorm on the effect of the information on their organization for example the use of population numbers and population preference to predict the sales of a product.
