This explains why there has been tremendous advancements and developments in the education sector. Despite the numerous advancements in education there still exists education inequalities in schools. To curb inequalities in education, concerned parties in the education sector such as educators and teachers are now engaged in studies with the goal of finding ways of overcoming inequalities in education. Inequalities in education violate the ultimate test of education because students are unable to record better academic performance in a setting that consists of inequalities. This paper aims at discussing the impacts of education inequalities on students’ performances and effective solutions that can be used to curb the occurrence of education inequalities in academic institutions. In such schools, teachers favor one gender at the expense of the other by the manner in which they administer education.

As a result, one gender records better academic performance compared to the other. Administering education on basis of gender also causes inequality in society. This is because the society will tend to despise the unfavored gender and praise the favored gender. Another cause of education inequality is the act of sidelining the less fortunate. Many students are unable to attain the maximum academic potential in settings characterized by inequalities. As a result, only a small group of students are advantaged in such a setting. For example, prejudice tampers with education systems due to bias and favors towards a certain group of students. Tampering with the education system has resulted in the failure education delivery. According to scholars, a larger percentage of the failed living conditions being experienced in different parts of the world emanate from inequalities in education due to the poor education system.

Similarly, the disability factor has denied the less fortunate individuals’ opportunities due to poor education systems. Education systems need to offer both normal students and the disadvantaged students an equal platform to maximize their abilities and talents. Solutions to Inequalities in Education Due to the increase of adverse impacts that arise from the education inequalities, educators and other concerned parties in the education sector continue to present provisions and proposals aimed at solving this global menace. For instance, schools are urged to employ teaching and non-teaching staff that are gender sensitive5. This will also reduce the prejudices that already exist in some schools. Governments in partnership with nongovernmental organizations have partnered to help reduce inequalities in schools in order to restore an equal delivery of education among students from all backgrounds.
