The minority groups have been impacted by the managing diversity. Introduction The change of language from ‘providing equal opportunities’ to that of ‘managing diversity’ might impact on organizational goals and outcomes of disadvantaged minority groups. Providing of the equal opportunities to an organizations and the diversity management to an organization are two different things. The term equal opportunity will be associated with rights based, tolerance, and it is in within conformity of the legal rules in which it is geared towards increasing the proportion of the minority. Managing diversity will include the varieties of differences between individuals in a particular organization (Jansen & Wiebren, 2016). The position or post will be associated with goal. In terms of age, equal opportunities will be most effective in achieving the organization goals.

Suppose there is a limited age, that is retirement age, and the professionals in that field are not enough in the organization. This will lead to reduced number of the employees in an organization. The goals to be met by the organizations will not be achieved as there is shortage of labor. Another instance is at the airlines jobs. The airhostesses are always considered in accordance to their physical appearance. The most competent ones, if they are not physically attracting they may not get an equal opportunity in the organization. This will lead to flooding of low competent personnel in an organization making it hard for the organization to achieve its goals. To achieve the organization goals, there must competence in all fields of that organization.

There must be equal opportunities to those who can believe in themselves that they can achieve the organization goals. Management diversity, like religion, will lead to reduced chances of achieving an organization goal. For instance, there is the conflict of the Muslims and the Christians in the organization’s roles. Some of the Muslims maybe competent in an organization roles and they maybe sideline by giving most of the roles to the Christian. This will lead to the slow achievement of the organization goals as the competent people have been sidelined due to the management diversity. Providing equal opportunities will enable the advantaged minority group have an opportunity an opportunity in various organization. For instance managing diversity, in terms of wealth, the minority group may be sidelined as they have no financial muscles to negotiate for vital positions in an organization.

Despite their competence they will never navigate their ways to the positions. This will make the organizations goals not to be achieved as the competent group is never given a chance or an opportunity. For instance in Australia, there is achievement of the organization goals as the national and the state laws have covered equal employment opportunities and the anti-discrimination is various organizations. Conclusion The change of language from ‘providing equal opportunities’ to that of ‘managing diversity’ has an impact on organizational goals and outcomes of disadvantaged minority groups. The organization goals will be achieved if there is provision of equal opportunities (Dobbin, Frank, Daniel & Alexandra, 2015s). This means that the quality that is needed for the achievement of a goal are deployed based on the quality of someone.
