Simulation of Major Traffic Lights Intersection in Kuwait Insert Student’s Name: Insert Professor’s Name Here: Insert Institution Name Here: Simulation of Major Traffic Lights Intersection in Kuwait Executive Summary The state of Kuwait is a sovereign Arab emirate with promising enterprises fuelled by its NSDP and its vision for 2030. Tremendous growth in road use and vehicle purchase and urban surfing has led to increased demand for road space as well as transport services. Most major traffic intersections have surpassed their capacity to effectively control significant traffic congestion. Traffic congestion has proved to be trivial both to the government and citizens in most cities around the world. The problem if not handled effectively puts the development of a city at jeopardy as well as the livelihood of its inhabitants. Effectiveness of traffic management is an important determiner either positively or negatively; of an urban area’s economic development. Traffic signals is a scientific solution able to tackle the problem. The Arena simulation tool is widely used to model and simulate discrete event systems. The proposal makes an analysis and presents the best simulation model to time the red green and red traffic lights. Through the use of Arena’s modeling and simulation method signalized intersections will prove to be effective. The project has a vision to decongest traffic by modeling an effective simulation to synchronize traffic lights to track lanes with more traffic. References BIBLIOGRAPHY \l 1033 Al-Matawah J. (2014).
