Student’s Name Instructor’s Name Course Date The Future of the Republican Party How the Republican Party came to be what it is today. Since the 2016 election the Republican Party has been in a crisis. Conservative reformers wanted a presidential candidate that was far from Donald Trump. Donald Trump faced a lot of resilience from the Party's leader. Most believed in different policies from that of Trump's and these majorly contributed to internal conflicts within the party. Inside the party some members believed that Trump was an ideological imposter and they wanted the party to go back to its founding principles whereas Trump's supporters believed that there was no enough evidence to victimize Trump. Trump is a real time opposition leader. He has tried to do aware with to select an entirely new different nominee. With these the Democrats are likely to take advantage of the situation and take up the president's' seat( Shenk 12-15). However these are just but possibilities. As much as there is a likelihood for a split up in the party there is also a likely hood of cohesion where Republicans can stick together more strongly than expected. There is also a possibility that Trump may battle out the presidential seat again and win. There is also a possibility that Clinton may contest against Trump again for the presidents and there be a repeat of 2016 in the 2020 general elections. Works Cited Jevtić Miroljub.
