It is the deliberate information processing by animals. Problems or issues are solved by people through information processing, insight and being creative. Cognitive thinking is mainly based on “thinking” and not “doing”. In the Consumer Behavior Terms There is lots of information that the consumer is exposed to especially information about new product or services. These informations are made available by marketers. During the processing of the information, they move from one memory into the other. When the Pecan pie Pringle consumer receives information about the product then the information goes into the sensory memory, this is also true to BMW users. Upon being keen and pays much more attention to the information about that same product, the information moves to the short-term memory.

When the consumer finds the information to be relevant and interesting then the information is moved to the long term memory. This may be attributed by the music, jingle, message content, endorsing of a celebrity, price, attributes, features, symbols, logo or sign like the BMW Add, just the brand name for example Pecan pie Pringle in UK (Olson and Hergenhahn). For example, in the consumer behavior, the product maybe associated with a particular set of people or individuals – the pecan pie Pringles are associated with a set of customers in the UK and so does BMW which is also associated with some people, BMW drivers. In the third stage of classical conditioning, the “After conditioning Stage”, both the unconditional stimulus and the conditional stimulus have merged together to become a new conditioned response.
