Yet, dating through a virtual platform has denied lovers an opportunity to consider the emotions of their partners in terms of their behavior. Social media has affected the manner in which people relate such that it has become difficult to maintain strong bonds among lovers which can last a lifetime. Analysis Physical interactions have often been hailed as helping to enhance the psychological aspect of togetherness. As social beings, the ability to meet in social functions such as the church, clubs and at football events can enhance the human nature. However, the onset of social media has reduced such physical interactions, to the extent that many people believe that they can save time by merely interacting on virtual platforms. For instance, one partner may appear to have physical attributes (such as being too plumb) that are different from those observed on social networks.

Such forms of frustrations in regard to lies on social networks makes virtual dating to be unpopular. Rather than encouraging a lifetime commitment to one partner, social networks have made people become promiscuous. A person may be in multiple relationships due to the multitude of others who are also looking for partners. Whereas some users may act as a consequence of desperation, others make take advantage of the networks to look for other partners even when they are already married (Sonja, 2015). With social media interactions, partners are only able to understand their mates in accordance with the information they receive from them. It is difficult to understand them in the perspective of others. Hence, it is possible that people may relate with individuals whose intentions are to defraud them.
