Name Professor Course Date Annotated Bibliography Cohen Carl. "Do animals have rights?." Ethics & Behavior 7.2 (1997): 91-102. In this book the author makes a declaration that a right cannot be compared to an interest because a right is a valid claim. Due to this reality the author presents a case on the need for al’l human beings to be proponents for the rights of animals. What the author does is that he mentions: “even though the idea of rights is totally human there is a need for the observance of these same rights if animals have rights” There are several moral examples given in this piece of writing that fall in line with the need for human beings to honor the rights of animals; for instance that of human beings is definitely stereotypical and can be compared to a racist or sexist. Lori G. (2014). The moral status of animals. The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy plato. stanford. edu 6 February 2014). This particular peer reviewed source asks an important question as to why human beings are thought to have a moral status and non-human entities are thought not to have any moral status. The author makes an assertion that this assumption that only humans have a moral status is the root of all evil because it justifies the wrong that is done to animals. Ultimately the author posits that if we as a race are rational as we claim to be it is only fair that we apply said rationality and fairness to animals. [...]

Order Description:

Annotated Bibliography: See below for (Links to an external site.) for information about annotated bibliographies, and here (Links to an external site.) for a sample. Basically, you are finding sources (in this case, only journal articles from peer-reviewed journals) that would help you write a good paper, and you are summarizing those sources. You are to use EBSCO (Links to an external site.) to search for your topic and are only using full-text sources from that database. Read the abstracts of 10-15 journal articles (try to concentrate on ones written in the last 8 years). Choose five of those that look especially promising. Skim the articles and write a paragraph or two about them. I highly encourage you to speak with a reference librarian about your project. They are highly trained to help in exactly this kind of thing. Here are the two links that was mentioned above. The EBSCO link will be provided once I select a writer.
