Systems Integration at UPS Corp Institution: Name: Systems Integration at UPS Corp System integration which is abbreviated as SI is a stage or a phase that is responsible for combining various systems or components. The purpose of the combination is to bring all the systems into one large system(Hobday Davies Prencipe 2015). This ensures that each of the combined systems does function as expected. The system integration adds value to systems by the use of updated functionalities provided by connecting functions of different systems. This paper is a case study that answers various questions about the effect of systems integration at UPS Corp. During the adaptation of this system by the company it underwent some challenges. In the very first time UPS had a rough time in redesigning their system. They had a problem of integrating the information to keep up with the of error made by the customers. The integrated system is also able to produce what is called smart data. Smart data enable the system to identify rural addresses which may be hard to find (Hobday et al. 2015). In conclusion the integrated system has more of its good deed than disadvantages. It gives a firm or a company a perfect position in the market. In such a way that it goes by the updated technology offering consumers with quality services and goods. Integrated system also has the power of satisfying both the customer and the company. From my viewpoint; I would advise any other company to install an integrated system in their firm to keep up with the global market. Reference Hobday M. Davies A. & Prencipe A. (2015).
