Students around the world today are attending part-time classes and online courses from multiple colleges and universities. For most Americans, the traditional model of full-time residential has become quite expensive. Moreover, the ubiquitous access to the internet has made students less dependent on traditional education and empowered students to be ‘free agent learners’ (Siegle). Online education is the future in global education. Online education provides courses that contain at least 80% of content delivered through the internet. This perception represents an idea of inclusion for individuals that for a reason, cannot physically attend classes but want to get the education. The primary driver for online education is the presumption by university and college faculty and administrators that there exists a large population of potential students who wish to obtain college credits, which is true.

These persons include adults that are restrained by time, family responsibilities, proximity to suitable universities and work. However, this does not imply that all online students are elderly. A recently updated database of online students in Florida indicates that most online students are millennials (Mayadas et al. Nonetheless, internet friendships, conversations, and interactions are a form of great relationships. Students can discuss and share ideas and information from different people all over the world. One of the greatest challenges for students enrolled in online education is that they need to have self-discipline. Success in online education is dependent on the initiative of the student. The instructor/teacher supplies the students with course content but, it is the responsibility of the student to learn the material by himself.

The moral vision for online academics is fulfilling the liberal academic dream of globalization for the millions of deprived people in the world (Verene). Online education is providing affordable education to better the lives of people. This new education technology is the platform that unites students in Hongkong with students in Kansas City to engage in transformative and informed discussions. Conclusion Online education is not perceived as an equal in quality to on-campus learning; in fact, a traditional degree is held at a higher accord that an online degree.
