When the work of an author is termed to be informative, simply it means that his work is intended to explain, inform or probably make a detailed description about something. Moreover, when the authors work is termed to be persuasive, simply means that his work is intended to influence, convince or probably persuade the reader. In the article, “Are We Teaching Composition All Wrong?” by Joseph R. Teller, he tends to examine various principles discussed in the, “We Know What Works in Teaching Composition” by Doug Hesse, who believes that the product is not the fundamental key but the process that is focused on the composition courses. He tries to examine the principle of imitating the rhetoric modes has not been the only way for the students write excellent essays but subjecting them into tackling complex issues that would have helped them in composing essays and the fact that both reading and writing should be merged in similar courses.
