Ideally traditional perceptions and representations of women in media still put a gap of equality between the women and men in the society. The controversial representation of women in advertising media has taken precedence to portray women in a traditional and cultural view of masculinity. In the long run the growing depiction of women in this nature creates an underlying perception that sees women become accomplices to their own debasement. Moreover the nature of media leadership has since seen corporate media roles remain an activity reserved for men. The complexity of the industry management as a profoundly male dominated area has made it more difficult for women to equally survives in the to the social disparity in the representation of women today the article clearly identifies the weak by lines in media leadership roles and the social interaction between men and women in the area of media. Therefore this paper opens up ideals that effectively address the social representation of women in media today.
