These journals are very crucial in exploring situations from person’s points of view but within the learning context from learner’s own experiences. There are three questions that generally be raised from the reflection: reflecting on actions (What happened?), reflecting in actions (What did it happen?) as well as reflecting for actions (What should be learned from these for the future actions?). Self-reflection upon leadership seems to be an important tool that encourages us to have more awareness when we take into consideration our strengths and weaknesses (Gibson et al. Moreover, Ruth and Jonet (2014) claim that self-reflection is an excellent technique to learn from one’s experiences and thus, in my reflective journal, I will be examining my tendency for something, the effect that it has on people around me and, more importantly, the effect that it has on me.

In our English class, we were told to create a PowerPoint presentation in a group of 4 or 5 people. As Chavez (2017) related, a team can turn into an uncreative one if a single person from that team is working with their colleagues. Looking back to what has happened, it made me realize that, at the time, and the other team members were having high expectations from me to somehow change the situation. After reading Belbin`s book (2013), I started to become more conscious of the fact that we need to discuss our roles right from the start so there should not be any ambiguities or arguments. As mentioned earlier controversies between members of the group made it difficult to deliver quality, credible, effective and efficient results from the discussion.

Besides, some of us did not prepare or read as much as it had been required and that led to a poor presentation eventually. Group discussions always require competence among its members, efficient cooperation, respect of one’s opinion, positive ideological differences. Lack of cooperation between members eventually poor results. We moved out of stage being frustrated by some of our members who did not show up in the presentations. I moved out of the stage feeling like as if I could approach the teacher and request him to allow us to make our own groups.
