This Industrial change was the beginning of a long journey for American society and it affected the various groups and workers differently as they were adapting to the change. The major aspects of Industrialization were: • Political. The American worker became vocal politically and had a say in Legislations like Fair Labor Standards Act(1938). However, it was at this point that corruption increased only the rich and politicians had a say in the society. • Economical. i) The farmers made losses as the middlemen often took a large share of the money earned from the crops. ii) Many farmers to abandon farming and seek employment in factories instead. Women i) Women became independent and earned a place in the society. ii) Women faced with gender discrimination as they were being paid half or a third of the wages given to a male worker.
