King. It is an article on sports analysis dated April 19th 2018. Summary The pitch lengths for junior cricket are controversial though studies exploring their influence on the game are absent. The study focused on evaluating the effects of reduction of pitch length on cricket activities including batting, bowling and fielding. Differences between measures that were applied in batting, bowling and fielding were then calculated in order to establish the effects of short pitch lengths. Variables The independent variables were the various clubs; club 20 and club 16 whereas the dependent variables were game measures namely running, wide and full toss no ball. Types of data For the independent variables, the types of data involved match and player details. They included the pitch length played in (yards), number of matches for each club as well as number of players and their mean ages (Harwood, Yeadon, & King, 2018).
