The personal and professional issues determine the decisions made by clinical officers. Making the wrong decisions about a condition of the patient can affect them negatively, and this calls for evaluation of the situation before the final decision is made. The discussion aims to give a critical analysis of obesity that is impacting the life of the patient. The medical officers will offer their advice about the condition, and the patient will also express themselves about their situation. The discussion will examine the conflict that may occur between the medical officers and patients while suggesting how these conflicts can be mitigated. Professional values are the principles that are acceptable in the medical profession because they result in quality healthcare. Conflicts can arise when patients think that some practices carried by medical officers can impact them.

However, if this happens, the nurses would use the best method of ensuring that the patient understands the practice better. However, the core values for different professions include compassion, communication, competence, courage, and care. Communication is also another core value that enables people to exchange and share ideas, hence making it possible to understand the habits and the lifestyles of your colleagues. The challenge with this case is that Javid thinks that he might rise up when the replacement is done under sedation and nerve block (Moyo, et al. However, the nurses can prevent this from happening by informing the patient the reason for not carrying out general anesthetic as well as reasons for choosing sedation and nerve block. The NHS constitution code of practice in UK sets the rights of the staff, patients, and public as well as ensuring that its operations are carried in effective and fairly way (Steele & Devlin, 2018). However, the staffs at the hospital realize that the meal that the mother had brought to Javid is not a balanced diet.  The challenge with this matter is caused by the personal and professional values. Resolutions In handling the case, some issues might occur. The other issue is that the nurses could discriminate Javid by carrying out the operation using a technique that he does not want it to be used.   However, Javid claims that he is afraid because he might wake up during the operation. In this case, the nurses can use the best ways of ensuring that Javid falls asleep. The doctors also need to explain to the patient on the advantages of taking a healthy meal, despite his condition. Healthy meal in this case means a balanced diet. The doctors can also engage his mother and inform her of the case. However, the research also shows that the professional values form a moral contract between the society and the nursing profession. The occurrence of the conflicts between the patients and medical officers can be solved effectively.
