Psycho 1960 review
She decides to return the money but she is murdered before the money gets back to the owner. This changes the person a viewer identified with at the beginning of the film and makes one to wonder how the film will end. As the story unfolds, there are several instances of murder, which is captivating to bloodthirsty viewers1. In most instances, Norman is responsible for the murders and this portrayal of his character arouses fear and disgust towards him by the viewers. This makes the film fit into the definition of a horror movie. The film appealed to the group of audience and it used this style to create awareness of the social evils that were happening in the society. Other than the social evils that were happening during the time, the period was also marked by the emergence of an audience that loved horror and thriller movies.
