In an article “Life on Global Assembly Line,” by Annette Fuentes and Barbara Ehrenreich, women from the Third World are misused in various industries where they are poorly paid despite a high volume of work they do. The writers of the article have applied the Marxian analysis of labor in various ways, where women try to demand their rights through protest but they fail. This article, therefore, will highlight the various application of Marxian ideologies of labor by the writers the above article. In addition, dormitories in industries are poor and not conducive for human survival yet more women are forced to share a single room. Working in this poor environment affects many women for they develop lung cancer due to dust in the textile industry or health complication especially to those who worked in electronic factories interacting with toxic chemicals. There is a great connection between the governments of the Third World and the capitalist who took women from these nations as a cheap labor. Some governments advertise their girls shamefully as the cheap laborers hence encouraging foreign investors to continue exploiting their women. This has been evidently observed in most nations where an attempt by the women to protest against exploitation by these industries fails as the governments send armed police officers to these industries to silent them.
