” Thus, this paper will explore who Benjamin Franklin is, what major contributions he made towards the American Revolution and after the revolution. It was Franklin’s idea to unite the colonies through a national congress in 1754 following his meeting with a colonial representative in New York. Despite the fact that his attempts failed, he helped lay a foundation for the implementation of the “Articles of Confederation,” which after its ratification in 1781 was used as the first American constitution.
