Anger management as a tool should be best utilized to reduce the feelings and the arousal brought about by anger and it can be achieved through the following ways: Cognitive change. This is a simple tool and it simply means changing one's thoughts. People tend to curse swear and speak up insults when they are angry but instead, they should try to replace their thoughts of anger with more meaningful thoughts (Elwood, Soper & Olatunji. When people are angry they tend to overly focus on the frustrations they go through and they constantly say that something is awful, terrible, or it is entirely ruined and this leads to the outbursts that are accompanied by anger (Down, Willner & Griffiths. A mind change is necessary and one should console themselves that even though something is frustrating and unchangeable it`s not the end of the world and getting upset about it won`t fix it anyhow.

Humor is an easy way to manage anger however it should not be used as a way for one to avoid their problems but instead, it should be applied as a way for someone to constructively face their problems at hand (Nasir & Ghani. Caution should also be taken to avoid the use of harsh sarcastic humor as it is just another form of wrong anger expression. Change of Environment The immediate person surroundings are at times the major reason for anger outbursts. According to (Sloan 2012) people working in day to day jobs tend to face many frustrations in their workplaces and at times if they are parents they tend to at times blow up on their kids when they do silly mistakes.
