They did not want to share national resources with a group that was referred to as slaves and associated with illiteracy and violence. The rate of unemployment increased in the community because many companies were moved from Rustbelt to Sunbelt in the South and Southeast of the United States. As a result, the economic arrangement denied them the blue collar jobs that require labor. The African American was characterized by the rate of unemployment because they were not educated. They had attained up to high school level and did not have the skills for jobs that involve computers. Louis Farrackhan was the minister of the Nation of Islam who called on black men regardless of their religion or position in the society to gather in Washington D.

C. The march supposed to focus on issues such as black’s internal crimes, drug abuse, and failed marriages. Mr. Farrackhan urged the black community to improve and change some of their ways of living to ensure they meet coexist with the white people. President Reagan and George Bush administration reduced the federal funding that boosted the poor and the underprivileged black population and increased the level of unemployment. When President Bush was in office, more black people were elected in into visible government positions. For example, Colin Powell who was appointed to the position of chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The black community did not have the quality of education that the whites had. Their schools were not enough to provide education to the growing black population.
