Ethical analysis of amazon treatment of employees
Imposing many demands on its employees, Amazon treatment of its employees and the disciplinary actions on the accumulation of points (Soper, 2011) in such a harsh working environment represents an unethical form of employee treatment. Harsh operating environment for workers characterized by high temperatures in warehouses (Soper, 2011), it is hard to claim that Amazon is operating in a fully ethical environment. The goal of a business is to promote happiness within its environment and hence seen as the promotion of social welfare by the community. There was no happiness or content in the working environment of Amazon warehouses, in fact, the treatment of workers in warehouses could amount to torture contrary to the moral obligation of such a business to protect its employees from such suffering.
