I strongly believe the influence of the Puritans did not match the world of freedom as well as equality. The following essay will strive to analyze various publications and eventually explore the kind of a society that was formed under the influence of Puritans. First, according to Collin G. Galloway, the author of New Peoples and New Societies, when Europeans such as the philosophers as well as the colonists came into America, they were very much impressed by the prevailing society that was established by the Indians. The society was characterized by the freedom and also the presence of egalitarian that was promoted by the Indians. Additionally, as recorded by Richard Frethorne, Letter to his Parents, the author narrated the terrible ordeal that he suffered when he was in abroad as a slave.

The author lost his cloak after it was stolen by his fellow colleague and also the miserable life that he lived under the leadership of Europeans. The entire story narrated by Richard indicates the materialistic kind of life that people adopted in America and also indicated the different classes of people that were present in the Europeans’ society. People were unwilling to help each other. Similarly, the same influence was also introduced to the Indians community when the Europeans immigrated to America thus creating anti-social behaviors such as stealing. The human status is portrayed as not equal The materialistic nature of the Europeans is elaborated by two authors John Winthrop and John Crevecoeur. The presence of the Europeans in America interfered with the equality of human beings since the Europeans thought how they could use some people for their own benefit.
