The authors develop their arguments based on the knowledge from work done by other researchers in the areas such as developmental literature and they give the effects of certain periods such as infancy and earlier childhood to supporting the adoption of emotion regulation skills which finally shapes a person’s social skill in the future. The authors further make it clear the aims of their writing. There is clear communication to the reader the methods that they used to draw the findings of their topics. According to Baker and Erin (2006), the expectation is that the students with high positive effects and minimum negative effects were going to achieve the highest academic performance.
