Resistivity depends on the material through which the electrons moves. This is what is termed as the resistance. The law involves the relationship between the voltage, resistance, and the current. It states that the potential difference between two charges is directly proportional to its electric current provided that the temperature is kept constant. Different materials have different resistivity and therefore this affects the value of the Ohm’s. With the three electric components; the voltage, current and the resistance, the law can be defined in different ways since the components show similarity by using a mathematical formula (Giancoli, & Douglas, 243). With his work to introduce the law, the physical unit for measuring electrical resistance which is the ohm was named. Hypothesis The lab report consists of variables that are related to one another.

Hypothesis statements in the Ohm’s law include: Ho: The value of resistance is not directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the current H1: The value of resistance is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the current Methods The voltage is the independent variable. This is the value that the report is intended to obtain after the experiment. There will be also the presence of a power source. The results were used to calculate the resistance value. The experimental procedure started by measuring the voltage against the current. Voltage was measured at a certain interval and the value recorded. The value change in current was also recorded against the respective change in voltage. This result showed that the Ohm’s law holds at a constant temperature.
