I have learned and applied the current business technology needs, and I have learned to lead at work, to be led, and a team player as well as being more flexible. Equally, I have gained better and faster skills when dealing with clients. However, the age and size of the business notwithstanding, challenges exist in its operation, and this is true with Target retail chain which has lately faced several setbacks. The Target’s grocery supply chain has been unreliable and unable to meet the customer demands making them dissatisfied which exposes the company to stiff competition from its main rivals Wal-Mart and Amazon.

The intensity of problems facing Target is also evident in the closing of all its 133 stores in Canada leaving over 17,000 people jobless. The processes of initiation, operationalization, monitoring and use of monitoring data for business improvement would be strengthened to enable achievement the set goal. I expect the MPA degree to be useful and consistent with my career goals and aspirations since it will equip me with competent skills relevant to achieve the goals. These include; administration and management skills, analytical skills in research, innovation, policy analysis, and monitoring, skills in writing and presentation as well as soft skills which include; communication, teamwork, and leadership. I will also benefit with knowledge and skills to effectively serve in public as well as nonprofit sectors in addition to gaining values like accountability, social justice, equity, and sustainability.
