Poverty in some instances is so intense such that getting food, education, health and social services become a dream to the victims. Factors leading to poverty include political instability, natural calamities, and low levels of education among other factors. Poverty in most cases is not a matter of choice, and the people who find themselves in such situations will do their best to see themselves out of the same. Children of the families hit by poverty are the most affected because they are required to put more effort to eradicate poverty, or else they live their lives entirely on the same (Noble, et al. p. To have us survive, my mother had to work on some down looked places of work including attending to and cleaning lavatories.

Those are the kind of jobs that her level of education would allow her to secure without much hustle. At several instances, she was harassed at her workplace and to be precise during when she was working as a bar attendant. She was often confused for a hooker and men usually hailed harsh word at her and others sexually harassed her. The ill-treatment saw her fall into a depression where she always asked herself why it had to be her. Equipping members of the public with skills that would generate income would help decline numbers of poverty levels. Also, control measures of intensity of some natural calamities like the construction of proper drainage could reduce floods therefore poverty. Ensuring political stability will see a country in a stable economy and hence less poverty.
