Setting Up Research

In 2017, the president of the United States declared it an epidemic and a national health emergency in the country. The component parts of this research are an opioid addiction and their effects on the social and economic situation to the African American population in Illinois. This opioid crisis has been escalating for several years and has resulted to several stakeholders in health in the country to take drastic actions towards its eradication. Fundamentally, the crisis had been affecting the rural and suburban young whites by the Commission of Combating Drug Addiction. My curiosity was aroused by the fact that it has been prevalent in the African American population in the state of Illinois. Selecting the Focus of Your Study My focus of the study is on the effects of opioid addiction among the African American population in Illinois.

The strategy of this research is based on the adverse social and economic problems which the drug menace has cause to the community. The medical assistance to those addicted is a matter of national consideration because it requires more manpower, funding, policy review, and political goodwill. The focus will be on the primary, secondary and tertiary preventing measures which the government and the health to apply in curbing of the menace. The effects of the study have been largely on the white population in Illinois, however, among the African Americans, it is still prevalent and therefore forms the focus population of the study. The research in this paper is: The effects of opioid abuse among the African American population among the African American population in Illinois Null Hypothesis The effects of Opioid abuse and dependency affects the African American population more that any other ethnography in Illinois.
