A company that has proper supervision is likely to be affected regarding the results of the team as well as the general work environment. A robust supervisory group that is in a position for making the employees feel successful and one that contributes to a positive working environment can efficiently provide an organisation to be competitive in a way that it will attract and retain the most talented employees. Proper supervisions are based on the definition of the roles of the supervisor in an organisation and making sure that all the supervisors have the requisite competencies that are necessary for carrying out the part that is assigned to them efficiently. This essay is to analyse some of the roles for the supervisors as well as some of the competencies.

Roles of supervisor The supervisors are responsible for managing the people as well as the processes that take place in the organisation. This includes functional knowledge, delegation, decision making and time management. Most of the supervisors must have a thorough understanding of the functions that they have to perform as well as the technical skills and capabilities that are required for the organisation to achieve the goals and objectives. Most of the functions that evolve the cycle or the circle of the supervisors involve making decisions. Some of the arrangements for the organization are prescribed by the policies and so the role of the supervisor is to ensure that they understand the policies and procedures and apply them appropriately. Supervisors are there to provide tracking, guidance and provision for the assigned activities and tasks.
