Family involvement is vital in providing love, security, and guidance to young school-going children, thus contributing to excellent academic performance. Family involvement in children's lives is always expected to offer a unique and ample environment for social, intellectual, and emotional development. Across the world, family involvement had gradually declined because family members find it hard to follow their children's academic performance. Also, guardians have found themselves in the mixed-up, thus leading to poor early childhood education. Family involvement in early childhood education plays a critical role in enhancing their learning outcomes and ensuring children get the support they require in their studies.

In the past, most of the studies have focused on the relationship between family involvement during the early stages of life and future outcomes. Children who spend most of their time with parents and other family members showed improved school performance compared to their peers. There is a significant relationship between a child's school performance and family involvement in their lives. Therefore there is a need for measures to be taken for parents to dedicate most of their time to children. Random sampling procedures will be employed in this study to ensure all groups are fully involved in the study to avoid bias. The collegial relationship between the researcher and the target group will be crucial because it will influence the nature of responses.
