Global Supply Chain Name Institution Global Supply ChainImmediately Redstar became bankrupt a raft of measures were put in place to ensure operations went on smoothly. Redstar was the single most relied upon tier 2 supplier for Ashmark and other Original equipment manufacturers. Tilden the supply chain expert tasked with turning the supply chain mess at Ashmark around did a commendable job and in our opinion nothing better could probably have been done given similar circumstances. Redstar supplied 75% of Ashmark’s supply chain needs and Ashmark represented over have multiple highest volume supplier so that incase of such closures of supplies the company does not find itself in a supply-chain quagmire. Also the company must develop strategies to evaluate the operational and financial health of its suppliers. Having two suppliers and distributing the supplies between them would be the best because company closures are out of control of Ashmark and so such situations must be expected.
