All we know that the Industrial Revolution took place in the world in the last few centuries. And, of course, it couldn’t be without any changes. So from the year 1856 to 1920 this revolution led to lots of great changes in the United States of America. There were three fields, which were impacted most of all. It is said about the business organization, urbanization and labor. This period of time which referred to the industrialization led to the great growth of the different types of businesses and the need for the experienced and skilled labor within the factories. At the same time, the number of people grew, who decided to migrate from the rural part of the States to more populated and developed areas, for example, to Boston or New York.
Big businesses, as well as the small ones, have been changed because of the industrialization of the United States of America. Local farmers required getting their crops to the marker and they depended upon the new supplies for continuing the production. Taking into account the great expansion after the Civil War, the faster was considered to be the more efficient method for transporting goods and it was also necessary for linking the spanning nation.
At that time the railroad system was the only solution. And the real problem concerning the standardizing time was solved and the universal rail gauge was greatly developed. So the railroad system became the leading force for the increased number of customers and the transportation of the business. Newly established business saw the possibilities that such railroads provided and began to build new lines of their own with the land which was given to them by the representatives of the government.
When the railroads were absolutely completed, the owning companies sold the land which surrounded it to the smaller business or farmers and got so much money for this. Doing this, they encouraged the business and set up more rail lines for the shipping goods. There was one more way for company owners who wanted to increase their profits. It was the creation of the monopoly. At that time Morgan, who had the railroad business, bought the steel company, who belonged to Ander Carnegie and began to use it for producing steel for the railroads. In this way, the man had everything that he needed for building the railroad and that is why it explained why and how he was allowed to build the rail lines completely for free.
