The Conspiracy of Killing JFK

The murder of the President John Fitzgerald Kennedy has been disturbing the minds of people for many years. He was killed on November 22nd, 1963 in Dallas, when he was making a political visit to Texas. The President was shot when his motorcade was going through the center of Dallas.

There are several theories of the criminal collusion which led to Kennedy’s death. The most important suspects in his assassination are: the CIA, organized crime, Cuban government, Cuban exiles, and the military-industrial complex.

According to the theory of CIA conspiracy, it is supposed that the sniper Lee Harvey Oswald was an agent of the Central Intelligence Agency. One of the investigators of the House Select Committee on Assassinations admitted that there was pressure on investigators not to detect the interconnection between the sniper and the CIA. He claimed that the CIA agent under the pseudonym "Maurice Bishop" communicated with Oswald before Kennedy’s death. Their communication was connected with Cuban groups opposing Castro.

Speaking of the military-industrial complex conspiracy, some believe that Kennedy was murdered because he was striving to avoid the Cold War with the Soviet Union. Kennedy was not the kind of President that military-industrial complex wanted to see as a head of the White House. The Senator from Texas also believed that the United States could have escaped Vietnam War had Kennedy been alive.

It was concluded by the House Select Committee on Assassinations that the organized criminal group did not relate to the murder of the President. However, this does not mean that individual members of this group were not related to it. According to the Committee, it is possible that the boss of Mafia Carlos Marcello took part in the conspiracy behind the murder. Mafia had the opportunities and the instruments to carry out the assassination.

Some collusion theorists state that Fidel Castro could have ordered the murder of Kennedy to retaliate for the preceding attempts of his own assassination made by the CIA. Nevertheless, the Committee did not find any signs of Cuban involvement into the President’s murder. The Committee also came to the conclusion that some Cuban exiles could have taken part in the murder. They worked in close cooperation with CIA agents in the activities against Castro’s regime. The reason why they could have participated in Kennedy’s murder was that his popularity dropped immensely by 1963 as they lost their hope to overcome Castro.
