The Life Story of Benito Mussolini

Benito Mussolini (Mussolini) (1883-1945) is an Italian politician, leader (duce) of the Fascist Party in Italy, a publicist, the Italian Prime Minister (1922-1943).

He began his political career in the Socialist Party. In 1919, he founded the fascist party. Mussolini seized power in the country, and November 1, 1922 and got the power in the Italian Government. As the leader of the Party, Mussolini was a dictator. Mussolini's government began the regime of fascist terror in the country. They decided to conduct an aggressive foreign policy. Together with Nazi Germany unleashed the Second World War.

Benito was born in July 29, 1883. After graduating from high school in 1901 and he received the diploma of the teacher.

In 1903, Benito joined the Italian Socialist Party. In the early 1910s, he took an active part in the actions of the socialist movement, worked as a journalist, was arrested several times.

After Italy entered the war (1915), Mussolini was drafted into the army, took part in the hostilities, was wounded.

Fascist organization of Benito Mussolini received the support of the government and quickly gained popularity among people. In the 1921 elections, he was elected a member of parliament, and in 1922 he was appointed Prime Minister of Italy.

In addition to the post of prime minister, Mussolini at the same time served as Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs, military and naval ministers, was the head of the fascist militia, the first marshal of the empire, "honorary member" of the Bologna Philharmonic, had many other titles.

Mussolini sought to create an empire. In 1935-36, Italian troops had invaded Ethiopia in 1936-1939. In November 1937, Italy joined the "Anti-Comintern Pact”. In May 1939, Italy and Germany have concluded the "Pact of Steel".

On June 1940, Italy entered the Second World War (World War II) on the side of Germany. In January 1943, the Italian army was defeated in Russia, and in May the troops of Mussolini capitulated in Tunisia. July 25, 1943, after the landing of the allied forces in Sicily, Mussolini was arrested.
