The United States of America was determined to be and act as the superior world’s nation during the Cold War. And due to the different reasons American army intervened in Vietnam. It is believed that it was realized because of political reasons, and the government of the United States of America believed that every other country was inferior to them because of military power, moral beliefs and stability of the economy. The Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson took over in Washington, after the assassination of John F. Kennedy, who was the former President.
The Vice President was pressured to follow the President’s policies and programs which concerned Vietnam, which involved the demonstration of the responsibility and the strength of America. It was said that United States of America intervened in Vietnam because of the structural weakness which took place in the National Security Council.
The weakness of the mechanism which determines the framework of policies with foreign connections was the main cause of involvement of American States. 1947 was the year when the National Security Council was established. There were lots of differences between the considerations of the military force and the considerations of the foreign policy which were required to conduct the external relations.
Apparently, there was no central authority in the United States of America which linked the all organizations which were belonged to the Military Services and the State Department. According to this state, the American government made a decision that to be successful in the international scene and to complete all the affairs, all two groups should work together. The major factors which concern the foreign policies of United States were ensured by the NSC.
It was said that both presidents – Eisenhower and Truman – were successful with mentioned organization and coming into the office, Kennedy made a decision to change the situation. In his preferences the small groups were which should be responsible for the creation and providing the policies and execution. The Presidents was more comfortable with the foreign affairs and knowledge of broad partners, that’s why he made the great influence and did so much for the organization. By the way, the serious dangers could be caused by the informal system according to its insufficient coordination, because the travesty near the Bay of Pigs demonstrated the Johnson’s failure.
