Born in Italian city Florence in 1469, Niccolo Machiavelli was the first philosopher in politics of the Renaissance. This legendary philosopher is the author of many conceptions which are relevant even today, even thought they were created few centuries ago. Once he was the diplomat and the bureaucrat of Florence, but he removed from these duties when in 1512 Medici family was restored to power. Later Niccolo retired to his homeland. Among other works, Machiavelli got the work which had a political handbook for the prior politicians. It also concerned those who desire to be powerful, whether it may be in Wall Street or in the personal relationships between politicians.
The point of view of the Prince lies in the fact how someone can gain, maintain and expand the power over the one or few states in which the person has the authority as a ruler. At the same time Machiavelli considers that everything is based on the maintaining a monarchy. According to his point of view, politicians can be equated to the corporate world of the prior times. Being created few centuries ago, Machiavelli’s views of human nature are actual even today in our modern world. It is so relevant in the capitalist economies, which produce so massive conglomerates.
Firstly it may be necessary to remain the most important viewpoints of Machiavelli. This legendary philosopher has some suggestions which tell that after overthrowing the prior ruler of monarchy the new Prince should demonstrate the sole authority, making the decisions in accordance with his best interests. That is why all the members being in old regime must be annihilated. It may prevent them from regaining the power. Also the Prince has to be distrustful to the citizens of the areas he rules over. It is necessary because local residents are able to turn against the Prince in the worst times. However, the Prince shouldn’t mistreat the citizens even when men are so ungrateful, deceivers and liars. At the time they may remain loyal if they are treated enough. This seems to be true to whose people who are in the most convenient and best positions to oppose the way of the Prince’s ruling. Machiavelli thought that if the Prince lets people to believe that he is interested in their advice, asking their opinion about the cases which concern him, local citizens will feel that they are inclined and flattered to please. One more point which was outlined by Nicollo Machiavelli is that he persisted in separation from the church.
