The Conspiracy on JFKs Assassination

There are lots of conspiracy theories regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The given theories state that the assassination involved many folks or organizations. The vast majority of current theories put forth exactly a criminal conspiracy, which involves parties as varied as, the Mafia, the CIA, Cuban President Fidel Castro, sitting Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, the KGB or even some combination of those entities. Some conspiracy theories ascertain that the United States government intentionally covered up crucial information in the aftermath of the murder.

In 1964, the Warren Commission found out that only Lee Harvey Oswald was solely responsible for the murder of Kennedy. Later, in 1979, the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations officially concluded that a second gunman apart from Oswald probably fired at the US president. The HSCA didn’t identify the second gunman as well as any other organization or person as having been involved. The acoustic evidence on which the HSCA built around its second gunman conclusion has since been discredited.

Public opinion surveys have always demonstrated that the vast majority of Americans believe there was a conspiracy to murder Kennedy. Additionally, Gallup surveys have also found that approximately 20–30% of the US population believe that Oswald had acted alone. The given surveys also prove that there’s agreement on who else might have been involved in the crime. Former Los Angeles District Attorney Vincent Bugliosi pointed out that a total of 82 assassins, 42 groups and 214 folks had been accused in a variety of Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories.

Possible evidence of a cover-up

A great number of researchers, including Henry Hurt, Mark Lane, Gerald D. McKnight, Michael L. Kurtz, Harold Weisberg, Anthony Summers as well as others have pointed out what they characterize as oversights, inconsistencies, exclusions of evidence, mistakes, changing stories as well as changes made to witness testimony in the official Warren Commission investigation, that could suggest a cover-up.

Michael Benson wrote that the Warren Commission obtained only information sent to it by the FBI, and that its primary purpose was to rubber-stamp the lone gunman theory.

In 1978, the US senator and member of the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Richard Schweiker told author Anthony Summers he believed the Warren Commission had been set up at the time in order to feed pabulum to the American public for reasons not yet known.
