Fate in the Tragic Saga

For students interested in the role of fate played in tragic sagas, Macbeth is one of the greatest examples. It’s a famous play written by William Shakespeare, and it shows readers the uprising of Macbeth, his treachery, and eventual downfall. Basically, witchcraft plays an important role in the actions of this unique character and his weak personality is easy to manipulate. Earlier, he was called a brave and honest man, but his personal ambitions cloud his judgments.

Macbeth’s life is quite tragic and full of the horrible deeds that resulted in a catastrophe. So, he and his wife both meet the same awful fate at the end of this tragic saga. Death is a fitting end for both characters if to consider the false deeds that they enacted during the course of their rising to power. In the modern world, the deaths of villains in this famous play might be under a variety of auspices.

The key circumstances under which each of these important characters dies seem quite fitting to their characteristics. For example, Lady Macbeth dies because of her own insanity, and it fits her as her mind is responsible for creating the initial plan to kill the king. For Macbeth, dying at the hands of loyal Scottish soldiers is also fitting as it shows how he comes to a full circle from fighting for his country to committing awful crimes against it.

The entire Shakespeare’s play is based on the changes that come over people when power and greed are involved. These negative feelings turn Macbeth from a loyal and honest hero to an evil villain, a perfect antagonist. MacDuff is a loyal soldier whose life and family are ruined by the greed of Macbeth can be called a true protagonist because he not only has a desire to get rid of Macbeth, but he also wants to complete this task to prove that good always wins evil.

In summary, if to consider the romantic world created in this Shakespeare’s drama, good inevitably wins evil, but this outcome is quite questionable in terms of the modern world. The fate of Macbeth is sealed from the moment he makes a decision to kill the king. That’s because the negative outcomes of taking such a horrible chance to get power is as imposing as the consequences of his failure, as it means his death in the end. His actual death is not noble, especially after considering the cruelty in the last moments of Macbeth’s life. His example is given by the author to show the fate of heroes and villains in the tragic saga.
